Awards Hat Trick!

Asia Dive Expo (ADEX) has always been special to me. It brings back memories of the time when I first started diving and the time when I would eagerly go shopping for the latest dive tec. The 2016 ADEX is currently held at Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre. I was very pleased to find the opportunity to catch up with familiar faces and see how much the diving industry has evolved.

At ADEX this year, Ocean Geographic announced the results of the 2015 Pictures of the Year Competition. It has been my pride and joy to have received one award in 2013 and one in 2014. This year, Ocean Geographic announced that I have won 3!

- Runner Up in the Ocean Geographic Photo-Journalist Award.

- Honourable Mention in the Ernie Brooks Black & White Prints;

- Honourable Mention in the Carden Wallace Seascapes Award

To be judged and selected by the legendary Ernie Brooks II for the Black & White category is a great honour. I would also like to thank the OG editorial team for judging my photo-journalistic piece.

The award was presented by the multi-award photographer and dear friend, Michael Aw, and we celebrated with a traditional (if it wasn't before, it is now) shot of mandarin-flavoured vodka.
