A little less known in this parts of the world, the Smithsonian Institution is a collection of 19 museums and 9 research centres in the U.S. The institution publishes a periodical under its own name and an online magazine with the purpose 'for the increase and diffusion of knowledge.'

Smithsonian online published my silver-tip shark picture, for 'picture of the day'. It is a picture taken in 2015 in Socorro, where we spent one entire dive chasing after an evasive bait ball. I can still remember how knackered I was after that dive.
