Ocean Photographer of the Year 2023

I’m really pleased that my photo taken in Raja Ampat, is a finalist in Ocean Photographer of the year 2023. The photo is considered in the category, ‘Conservation, Hope,’ and it is rewarding enough knowing that my work can inspire what we need a lot of these days in ocean conservation - Hope, that is.

This is one of my favorite images, show casing the bio-diversity in Raja Ampat, with golden sweeper fish at the bottom, and silver sweeper fish at the top encircling a mix of soft and hard corals, and a feather star sitting on its cap.

This image has also entered the final stage of judging in season 12 of HIPA, International Photography Award.
